    Marching band members need to be here at 8:00 am Saturday morning.  The bus leaves at 8:15 am.

     

    Congrats to the Girls softball team on their two wins Monday and Tuesday. The Hawks defeated Hancock on Monday by the score of 16-3 and a defeated University City yesterday but the score of 22-2. The Hawks play at  Wright City tomorrow. Way to go Lady Hawks. 

     

    Come to the high school volleyball’s second annual PINK OUT night tonight!  JV plays at 4, Varsity at 5! Concessions will be available! $3 for adults, $2 for students/kids!

     

    Did you know that chess is played competitively? Valley Park’s Chess team competes in team matches against other schools during the winter sports season and in tournaments against students from all over the state! Practice starts next week! If you're interested, see Mr. Harris as soon as possible to learn more.

     

    ATTENTION GLOBETROTTERS!

    Ms. Light is holding an informational meeting for parents and students regarding the 2018 trip to Spain and Portugal on Thursday, September 29, 2016 in the Valley Park High School seminar room next to the library.  The meeting starts at 6:30 pm.  Please come with curiosity, questions, and enthusiasm!  

    If you are unable to come to the meeting, but are still interested, please contact Ms. Light.  The deadline to receive a discount is 10/3/16, so do not wait!

     

    On Tuesday a recruiter with the Navy will be here during advisory to meet with interested students.  Feel free to sign up on the “Plan Your Escape” board outside Ms. Mathews’ room. 

     

    Next week during advisory students will have closed advisory time to allow them to participate in activities on Missouri Connections.  9th and 10th grade will have closed advisory on Tuesday.  11th and 12th grade will have closed advisory on Friday.  Please plan accordingly.

     

    On Sunday there is a college fair geared toward programs in the fine arts, including game design and other animations.  College Fairs are a great way to talk with reps from several different colleges to get your questions answered.  Any college-bound junior or senior is encouraged to attend.  See Mrs. Eagan’s website for more information.

    Congrats to Lady Hawks softball team who have won three straight games this week.

    The Hawks defeated Brentwood 11-1 on Monday, defeated Trinity 10-4 on Tuesday, and defeated New Haven 6-4 yesterday. Way to go Hawks.

    The Hawks play at Home today against Notre Dame beginning at 4:00.

     

    No jazz band after school today.  They will meet Monday, after school instead.

    Happy Birthday to Lamont Rogers!

     

    Ladies and Gentlemen, it’s that time of year again.  Archers are taking their posts atop castles, knights are sharpening their swords and bishops are dusting off their finest robes…all in preparation for the battle to protect their almighty king.  Are you ready? See Mr. Harris this week for more information about Valley Park’s chess team. Practice starts next week!

     

    Any student (Freshman through Senior) that is interested in helping out in the Haunted School, please pick up an application from the office, Mr. Neal’s room, or Mrs. Magali’s room today.  You need to have this completed and turned into Mr. Neal or Mrs. Magali by Thursday during Advisory.  If you have any questions, please talk to one of those teachers.

     

    Picture retake day for 9th-11th grades is tomorrow, Thursday, Sept. 22nd.   If you were not here the first time, you need to have your picture taken.  If you were here and are wanting a retake, bring your original picture packet with you to return, then you can have your picture retaken.

     

    The Volleyball teams 2nd annual Pink Out game, is this Friday!  Be there!

     

    Juniors:  Tomorrow, you will be taking the ACT with Mrs. Eagan in the commons.  Please arrive prior to 7:50 with a calculator and pencils. 

    11th grade Tech students:  You need to report here in the morning for the ACT.

    Come to the high school volleyball’s second annual PINK OUT night this Friday! The JV and Varsity teams will be playing against Bayless High School! JV plays at 4, Varsity at 5! Concessions will be available! $3 for adults, $2 for students/kids!

     

    Color guard members - please remember to go directly to the band room for practice after school today. Practice will last 2:30 to 3:30.
