Valley Park Night at the Ballpark

A Pre-game Performance and a Salute
Pictured, Valley Park Middle School and Fifth Grade Choirs remain on the field saluting the American flag during the singing of the National Anthem, minutes after performing "God Bless America" (words and music by Irving Berlin), at the Cardinals-Phillies match-up game on May 24th. They were first to perform for a crowd of more than 40,100 fans during the pre-game ceremonies at home plate. The groups are directed by Middle School Choir Director Missey Graville (pictured at far left) and Elementary Music Director Matt Ketteman (pictured at center, foreground). More than 40 students participated in the event.

Taking Center Stage at Busch Stadium
The Valley Park Fifth Grade Choir stood at attention, performing "God Bless America," (words and music by Irving Berlin), to the delight of a crowd of 40,135 baseball fans. Pictured above, Elementary Music Director Matt Ketteman (far left) directs the group at the May 24th St. Louis Cardinals baseball game. Joined by the Valley Park Middle School Choir, led by Choir Director Missey Graville, Valley Park was the first to perform at the pre-game ceremony at home plate. Physical Education teacher Latonya Davis organizes the trip each year. Celebrating its sixth year, Davis said the event is always very popular but this year it drew the largest crowd in its history. More than 500 tickets were sold to Valley Park School District's friends and family.
