VP Schools Sponsor Third Annual Community Recycle Event

The Valley Park School District is hosting a one-day Community Recycle Event from 12:00 Noon to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 18th. Community members in the Valley Park area are encouraged to bring any unwanted computers, electronics or appliances to the Valley Park Middle School parking lot, One Main Street, Valley Park.
A truck will be available to accept items for recycling. There are NO fees for monitor and television recycling, however there is a limit of two TVs. All other items will be accepted FREE of charge. VP Schools hosts an Internet Safety Presentation

The Valley Park School District is sponsoring a free Internet Safety Presentation at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 5th. It will be held in the Valley Park Middle School Cafeteria.
Tom Durkin, public education director for the Office of the Missouri Attorney General, will list ways parents can recognize the dangers of the Internet, situations to avoid; and will offer advice on how to "surf safely." Also, Durkin will discuss some of the more popular topics with social media - My Space, Twitter and Facebook, including anti-bullying tips and free resources available to all parents.
