• Why: Service and leadership are keys to personal development. Students can list PALS as an extra-curricular service and leadership activity. Students will receive a special cord to wear at graduation as recognition of participation in the PALS program. PALS exists to make our school environment more inclusive and positive for all students.
Who: Any student at Valley Park High School can sign up to be a PAL!
What: Actively reaching out to students with disabilities and other students who may not otherwise be included in social events. PALS would serve in a mentor capacity to other students by using and developing the following skills: active listening, empathy, problem-solving, conflict mediation, and leadership skills.
