    Mission Statement

     

    The Valley Park School District is dedicated to providing a supportive, personalized environment in which students will grow strong intellectually, emotionally, physically and socially today in preparation for tomorrow.

    Goals and Objectives

    Goal 1: Student Achievement – Valley Park School District will achieve 90% or more of the possible points on the district APR. (90% or above recognizes the district as “Accredited with Distinction”)  

     

    Objective A:  Valley Park Elementary School will achieve 90% of the possible points on the Elementary School APR

    • Integrate Office 365 resources for curriculum and instructional support
    • Utilize technology resources for inclusive instruction practices to address student needs

    Objective B:  Valley Park Middle School will achieve 100% of the possible points on the Middle School APR

    • Integrate Office 365 resources for curriculum and instructional support
    • Utilize technology resources for inclusive instruction practices to address student needs

    Objective C: Valley Park High School will achieve 95% of the possible points on the High School APR

      • Career and technical programs will maintain state-of-the-art technology hardware and software, as funding and grants permit
    • To implement and utilize the Microsoft Imagine Academy curriculum and Microsoft Office Specialist certification exam that is provided via state-wide funds at no cost to the District
    • Integrate Office 365 resources for curriculum and instructional support
    • Utilize technology resources for inclusive instruction practices to address student needs

    Objective D:  Valley Park School District will dedicate resources and support to directly and indirectly advance student achievement Pre-K through Grade 12 as measured by the district APR score of 90% or above.

      • Student: workstation ratios at various levels aligned with class and building needs
      • Align classrooms to 21st Century classroom environment standardized for continuity of classroom experience
      • Internet access filtered for online safety
      • Network security software and hardware implemented to ensure network viability
      • Antivirus software installed on district computers and servers
      • The rate of repairs presented at BOE meeting during program evaluations
      • Analyze bandwidth and infrastructure requirements and update as needed
    • All staff members will be surveyed each year to determine training needs
    • Provide Professional development that coaches use of technology that will sustain and allow for growth in technology integration
    • Review and evaluate the refreshment plan yearly for desktop and laptop workstations to maintain up-to-date equipment, budget pending, for student learning
    • Complete an annual physical inventory of district equipment
    • Work with administration and teachers to determine annual needs for technology
    • Implement recently adopted Missouri data governance policies and procedures
    • Address the safety and security of district students, personnel and resources by maintaining up to date surveillance and access control technologies
    • Building technology meetings to communicate the technology needs of teachers, students and classrooms annually
    • Support and utilize a data warehouse platform, and the use of that data within a data meeting to problem solve on student needs
