COVID-19 STATISTICS IN THE VALLEY PARK SCHOOL DISTRICT
The Valley Park School District administrative team monitors St. Louis County data, including the number of new COVID-19 cases per 100,000 individuals, transmission rate, and positivity rate, on a daily basis. In addition, we are consulting frequently with medical professionals and the St. Louis County Department of Public Health leadership team. We will continue to monitor local data and adjust our learning phases as often as necessary as we continue to prioritize the safety and well-being of our faculty, staff, students, and community.
The dashboard below is designed to share a weekly snapshot of COVID-19 statistics in our district. For reference, Valley Park has more than 160 employees and 850 PK-12 students. Data will be updated weekly.
The district will communicate with families and staff regarding positive COVID-19 cases in the district only if they are personally impacted or determined to be at risk as per CDC guidelines. Federal privacy laws protect student and staff confidentiality; therefore personally identifiable information on any individuals testing positive or being asked to isolate or quarantine will not be shared.
If a student or staff member in the district tests positive for COVID-19, Valley Park School District administration will work directly with the St. Louis County Department of Public Health to begin the contact tracing process and communicate directly with anyone who had direct contact with the individual who tested positive. The St. Louis County Department of Public Health will determine what students and staff need to quarantine.
