Second Step Curriculum is a social emotional learning program focusing on skills for social and academic success.

This program is used by teachers and counselors at Valley Park Elementary. Classroom teachers use the Second Step program weekly to enhance learning in their classrooms.

The school counselors use the Second Step Child Protection Unit to teach safety skills to each grade level.
