What we do
Facilities Services employees are working toward keeping all district buildings safe, clean, and comfortable while striving to extend their usable life. This department’s maintenance and cost-avoidance responsibilities include implementation of energy-saving measures, lawn care, maintenance of building interiors and exteriors, asphalt, concrete, playgrounds, and athletic fields. The use of technology provides the department with the ability to perform both preventative and, when necessary, reactive maintenance in a timely manner. The technology used by the department includes a computerized work order system, an energy management system, and a solar monitoring system. The building automation system monitors heating, ventilation, and air conditioning throughout the district in an effort to save energy.
