• Alumni Spotlight: Ryan Menley

    Ryan Menley gradated from VPHS in 1999 and studied English Education at Maryville University. Today, he is the Director of Athletic Communications at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph, Mo where he is in charge of social media video marketing and acts as game day director for video board productions and live broadcasts of athletic events.

  • STEM Girls of Promise

    For the 5th year in a row, the American Association of University Women through their Ballwin/Chesterfield branch recognized junior girls who excel in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) fields. These young ladies are in the top 20% of their class and participate in multiple activities and sports.

  • Juniors Young and Vanelli take top honors at FBLA State Conference

    This year, Valley Park’s Future Business Leaders of America club membership reached 44 students. Fourteen of its members recently traveled to Springfield, MO in April for the Missouri FBLA-PBL State Leadership Conference. Over 5,000 students and advisers came together with over 150 business education related competitions running during the event; contest topics range from accounting to website design, marketing to mobile application development. Evan Young (11) placed 6th in Cyber Security and 1st in Computer Problem Solving. Nick Vanelli (11) place 2nd in the Job Interview Competition.

  • Alumni Spotlight: Tim Barnett

    Class of 1998 graduate Tim Barnett attended Vatterott College and Webster University where he studied Computer Technology and Business Management. Tim is now the Vice President of Software Testing & Quality Assurance for Mastercard where he leads teams that are responsible for ensuring Mastercard’s Products and Applications work properly.

  • Alumni Spotlight: Jacob Vogel

    VPHS class of 2009 graduate Jacob Vogel serves as an Army officer in the Military Police branch. Vogel graduated from Truman State University in 2013 with a BS in Justice Systems. He spent four years in ROTC at Truman before heading to the Basic Officer Leader Course for the Military Police branch.

  • Newsweek names VPHS as one of America's Top High Schools

    Newsweek released its annual list of America’s top 500 high schools for 2016 naming Valley Park High School to both the ‘Top High Schools’ and ‘Beating the Odds’ lists. VPHS is ranked no. 257 nationally and no. 3 in Missouri on the ‘Top High Schools’ list. The school is ranked no. 69 nationally and no. 1 in Missouri on the ‘Beating the Odds’ list.

  • Alumni Spotlight: Jordan Rempel

    Jordan Rempel graduated from VPHS in 2005 to study Visual Effects at Savannah College of Art & Design (SCAD). Today, Jordan is a lighting artist at Pixar Animation Studies.

  • VPHS Sophomore Evan Young Places 10th in National FBLA Competition

    VPHS incoming sophomore Evan Young placed 10th at the Future Business Leaders of America’s National Leadership Conference in July. Evan is the second Valley Park student to attend and the first to place in the top 10 in a national competition. Evan competed in the Information Systems test.

  • Band, choir earn top ratings in Chicago

    On Friday, May 6th, 2016 the VPHS band and choir departed for a trip to Chicago. On Saturday, May 7th, the Band, Mixed Choir, and Show Choir all competed in a music festival. The band and mixed choir earned the top rating of Superior, and the Show Choir received an “Excellent” rating.

  • Hawks clinch fourth consecutive SCAA conference championship

    The Valley Park Hawks defeated Brentwood 7-2 on Friday, May 6, to finish the South Central Athletic Association Conference schedule 8-0 and clinch their fourth consecutive SCAA conference championship.

    On April 6th, Ms. Libby's Business & Personal Law class along with Ms. Krumm's AP Government class took a field trip to the Thomas F. Eagleton Federal Courthouse located in downtown St. Louis.

  • National Donate Life Month

    On April 19, fourteen VPHS health students participated in a field trip to Mid-America Transplant where they participated in an educational program regarding organ and tissue donation. Students engaged in activities to learn what organs and tissues can be donated.

  • VPHS Adds Track and Field Team

    This month, Valley Park High School kicked off its first season of Track & Field. The 13-person team represents a diversity of talents including jumpers, throwers, sprinters, and distance runners.

  • VPHS Participates in South Central Conference Band Concert

    Fourteen Valley Park students participated in the South Central Conference Band Concert on February 18. Twelve are members of the concert band, and two are members of the jazz band.

    Any high school student living within Valley Park School District with junior status can participate in the ACT test given on April 19, 2016 at Valley Park High School.

  • VPHS students take record no. of medals at FBLA competition

    On February 8, the Valley Park chapter of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) attended district competitions at Chesterfield Mall. Fourteen members medaled and ten will compete at state in March, beating last year’s record of eight medals and six state-level competitions.

  • 1976-77 Varsity Basketball Team Returns to Celebrate Tournament Win

    On Monday, February 1, 2016, the Valley Park Hawks 1976-77 basketball team will join the current varsity team for a half-time celebration of their recent winning of the Valley Park Invitational Tournament. The win marks the first time the team has won the tournament since December 1976. The Valley Park Hawks varsity basketball game begins at 7:00 pm in the Field House (One Main Street, Valley Park, MO 63088).
