Valley Park Elementary & Middle Schools receive national recognition
Character.org selected Valley Park Elementary and Middle schools to receive 2018 National Promising Practices awards.
VPE won for their Positive Character Assemblies where once a month the school gathers to celebrate, model, and learn about our positive character focus for the month.
VPMS' winning program Girls Night Out connects students with female role models (in school and from the community) to discuss ways to empower each other and combat relational aggression (bullying) in school and online.
Each year, as part of the Schools of Character program, Character.org recognizes educators in the United States and elsewhere who have implemented unique, specific, and effective character education strategies. Promising Practices put one or more of the 11 Principles Of Effective Character Education into action.
