District test results contribute to perfect state score
The Valley Park School District has earned a record score of 100% on the Annual Performance Report (APR) issued by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE). DESE also released MAP test scores with Valley Park exceeding state averages at both the school and district level.
"We are pleased with the District's overall test results," said Assistant Superintendent Dr. Tad Savage. "Each school’s overall achievement was higher than the state average.”
The test was new so scores could not be compared to previous years. It does provide a baseline to track student growth as they move from grade to grade.
APR Points Earned is the overall score for each of the Missouri School Improvement Program's 5 Performance Standards: Academic Achievement, Subgroup Achievement, High School Readiness, College and Career Readiness, Attendance Rate and Graduation Rate. Schools that score above 90% are considered accredited with distinction.
