Midwest Dairy Council Awards Valley Park Elementary with $500 for Fuel Up to Play 60 Program Efforts

Students and teachers at Valley Park Elementary in Valley Park, MO were rewarded for their efforts to get active, eat healthy and make a difference in their school and community. Valley Park Elementary was selected as one of the “Touchdown Schools” in the Midwest to receive $500 to further enhance their health and wellness initiatives as a part of the Fuel Up to Play 60 program. Valley Park Elementary plans to use the funds for P.E. equipment.  Coach Davis and Coach Menley are excited to be a part of Fuel Up to Play 60 and now have the opportunity to get more equipment to encourage students to eat healthy and stay active. “We’re thrilled to be able to reward these students and teachers for making healthy choices and setting examples in their schools and communities,” said Midwest Dairy Council Vice President of Health and Wellness Melissa Young. 


Fuel Up to Play 60 is an in-school nutrition and physical activity program developed by the National Dairy Council, Midwest Dairy Council and the National Football League (NFL), in collaboration with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).
